In lieu of an in-person event, we hosted SoupFest at home and online in 2021. To celebrate, we put together three related campaigns that aim to replicate as much of the SoupFest experience as possible — soup, music, and community (info below).
We cannot thank you all enough for making SoupFest 2021 the most exciting and charitable event we've ever thrown. With your tremendous generosity, SoupFest contributed $10,397.00 to our donor-advised collection, The Miklós Battaglia Fund, at the Columbus Foundation. We then authorized the same amount to be donated by the fund to Neighborhood Services Inc., a local boots-on-the-ground organization doing the work to feed and supply necessary goods to people that need them in central Ohio.
From Soup Council to each and every person who purchased a SoupBox, made and shared soup on social media, supported local restaurants during SoupWeek, tuned into SoupFest LIVE benefit sets, and donated to the cause – thank you!

SOLD OUT! SoupBox fundraising packages were filled with everything you’d have gotten at a live event and a lot more — like recipes from past SoupFest champs! We’re proud to have donated a portion of proceeds to NSI Food Pantry, a Columbus food assistance organization that distributed 750k meals in 2020. Each SoupBox order provided 40 meals to those in need.

We invited soup fans to celebrate SoupWeek from Jan. 31st to Feb. 6th. Timelines across the internet were flooded with soup all week as people all over the country made hundreds of soups and supported our entire restaurant list with takeout orders. We were blown away by the support this activity received and so proud of our community for stepping up.

SoupWeek went out with a bang! Three straight nights of incredible talent and on-air fundraising resulted in nearly $11,000.00 raised for Neighborhood Services Inc! We contributed a total amount that translated to more than 40,000 meals to those in need.
