SoupFest 2020, the first with live music and an extended soup offering, was filled to the brim with community love and delicious soup. We're endlessly thankful to have all (nearly 400!) of you as friends and collaborators.

We hosted a total of 36 savory creations! Ladles up for all the soup makers who spent their own time to perfect and prepare unique homemade entries for our enjoyment. Congratulations to this year’s esteemed winners, below. Our biggest thank you goes to The Battaglia Family for being such a special part this project.

As a result of profits associated with the event, a donation of $2,000.00 was made from The Miklós Battaglia Fund to Neighborhood Services Inc., a local food pantry serving the Columbus area. Martin, our partner there, expressed his sincere gratitude for the gift. We look forward to working with him and his organization in the future.

    HALL OF FAME

  • We were left speechless by the assembled on-stage talent, starting with Hanif Abdurraqib's stirring reading from They Can't Kill Us Until They Kill Us. Kicking off the evening’s music, HYTWR sent a jolt of energy through the venue that Fluung and Junegrass continued with class. Wished Bone, Ethan Samuel Brown, and Spencer Radcliffe closed with mesmerizing sets of their own. We could not be more appreciative of these talented folks for their contributions.

    SOUPFEST ARTISTS

  • Thanks to ComuneBrown Bag DeliRay Ray'sThe Market Italian Village, and Hai Poké for bringing luxury-level soups to the party. Ace of Cups was the perfect venue partner. Big thanks to Marcy and her team for hustling all day, and before. Dan at Oldfield's is another generous team player we could not have gone without.

More shout outs to Pabst, Hai Poké, and Jack Daniel's for donating gift cards and raffle gifts. All three also helped with event costs. Bob at Crown Trophy in Medina was kind enough to donate the People’s Choice award aprons and special category plaques.
